Smart LP: automated concentrated liquidity

A suite of automated strategies that takes the work out of managing V3 liquidity positions — for retail traders, protocols, exchanges and funds that want concentrated-liquidity yield with simplicity and high performance.

01One layer, many chains and exchanges

The strategies never talk to a specific DEX or chain. We built an abstraction layer between them, so adding or removing an exchange or a blockchain takes minimal effort — which is how Smart LP grew to 7 chains and 8 exchanges.

02Architecture

Every pool gets its own set of contracts, deployed by a Factory as beacon proxies. One upgrade of a beacon upgrades that contract type across every pool at once; shared infrastructure sits behind transparent proxies at deterministic CREATE3 addresses, identical on every chain.

Per pool — 5 beacon proxies

LP Manager

The ERC-20 of the position and the custodian of the liquidity. Holds the ranges, collects fees into the AUM and exposes mint / redeem / rebalance to the right roles.

Router

User entry point: deposit, withdraw, claim, compound and price-triggered exit orders — with reentrancy guard, pause and slippage minimums.

Reward trackers

A double tracker (rewards in both tokens) and two single trackers that convert to one token via the DEX swapper, protected by TWAP-based min-outs.

Compounder

Vault-style shares over the staked position: claims, keeps a small compound fee and redeposits through the Router.

Per chain — shared infrastructure

Factory ×4

One per strategy (Bull, Bear, Neutral Wide, Neutral Narrow). Deploys the 5 per-pool contracts as beacon proxies and wires every role in one call.

Price helpers

USD price from Chainlink, Pyth, DIA or a custom TWAP oracle — with stale-price and L2 sequencer checks — and spot validated against the pool TWAP.

Universal swapper

Swaps through whitelisted aggregators (1inch, KyberSwap) for whitelisted callers only, enforcing the minimum amount out.

Reward receiver

Collects the fees of every manager and splits them across its trackers pro-rata.

Governance ring

Holds the governor role for the contracts, with callers whitelisted per function selector.

Viewer

Aggregated reads across factories: TVL, AUM, previews and user positions for the frontend.

Adding a DEX = a manager, a price helper and a swapper

The abstraction is a type registry: each DEX type maps to its LP manager, price helper and swapper, and the Factory switches implementation by type. 13 types cover two integration families:

Direct pool mint (with callback)

  • Uniswap V3
  • SushiSwap V3
  • Camelot (Algebra)
  • Ramses V2
  • Cleo
  • Pharaoh
  • Nile
  • Nuri
  • Thruster

Through the position manager (one NFT per range)

  • PancakeSwap V3
  • Velodrome
  • Aerodrome
  • Thruster Boost
  • Kodiak
  • BulletX
  • Hercules

Native incentives are harvested per DEX too — PancakeSwap MasterChef, Ramses-style gauges, Velodrome / Aerodrome gauges and the Thruster booster — and external ARB incentives arrive through 43 Merkl campaigns targeting the four managers of each pool.

03A volatility-based strategy engine

Ranges are derived from measured volatility rather than guessed. The research behind it found three patterns:

  • Volatility in crypto tends to be clustered and cyclical.
  • It has been trending down over time.
  • After settling at a cycle’s local bottom, it tends to spike up ~50%.

Two windows, take the higher

Standard deviation is measured on a long window and on a short one of 1/10 its length. On every rebalance the algorithm uses the higher of the two, so short-term moves that may turn into a trend are captured.

Fewer rebalances, same yield

A range only 10–12% wider, from the short-term deviation, leads to around 20% fewer rebalances without sacrificing yield.

Four vault types

All of them rebalance automatically once price deviates from a target; they differ in how liquidity is concentrated around the price.

04Using the vaults

Deposits

Token pair

Deposit both tokens; the interface suggests the second amount as soon as the first is entered, and the vault deploys them in the current range.

Single token

Deposit just one token. The vault sells the portion needed for the other side, creates liquidity at the current ratio and deploys it in the current range.

Top-ups

Add to an existing position at any time, with either a single token or a token pair.

Rewards

Autocompounding

Default: 100% of the yield goes back into the strategy.

Single-token rewards

Yield is delivered in just one token of the pair.

Dual-token rewards

Yield is delivered in both tokens of the pair.

Withdrawals

Partial or full, in a single token or both tokens at the ratio of the current range. Any yield not auto-compounded is withdrawn with the position.

05How returns are reported

APR = A7d / TVL
APY = (1 + APR / 365)^365 − 1

A7d = fees accrued by the strategy over the last 7 days, in USD, annualized · TVL = strategy value in USD
